Show & Tell: Jacob's Cat

I brought my cat Stewart for show and tell. He is about a year and a half years old. He has a sister named Grace. Stewart is very friendly and loving towards us. We got Stewart when my dad was on vacation. When my dad got home, we surprised him with Stewart and his sister Grace.   -Jacob

Sept 20th - Eastcoast Fundraiser: Car Wash

There was a fundraiser car wash for the students going on the Eastcoast trip during Spring Break. They raised over $490!

Monster Muck - Sept 18

For science we were experimenting with "monster muck" which is a mixer of corn starch and water.

It was pretty messy but it cleaned up easily and the monster muck was fun to play with after.

5 Things in a Paper Bag - Sept 11th

Students wrote poems about themselves and then brought in 5 items from the poem (see "All About Me" post).

All About Me

Students were asked to create a poem about themselves using the points listed in the photo.

The Class Selection

After an hour of deliberation and presentation the class almost unanimously voted for the following sketch.  The tables and chairs were implemented immediately.  We will be adding a microwave, tea/hot chocolate station, more plants and a fish tank in the next month.

Welcome to Another Year!

Hello All,

New class = new blog!  Students will be taking turns posting photos to this blog which will save me a lot of time.

I'm very excited about this year and the great group of students in the class.  Here's the video of their first assignment from me.

I'm looking forward to seeing their designs.  We'll post the class selection soon!
